Day 1: Antananarivo – Ampefy

Tour of Antananarivo « the city of a thousand soldiers », a must-see historical and cultural site to understand Malagasy people. Discover the high city and its royal enclosure, witnesses to the rich past of Madagascar and the various conquests that unified the island. Lunch at Sakamanga.

Continue on National Road 1 and stop at Imerintsiatosika to visit a recycling village for tin cans: fridge magnets, small airplanes, cars, motorcycles, and bicycles, etc. Then continue towards Ampefy. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Ampefy

Discover the Analavory geysers known for the therapeutic virtues of its waters and the Lilly waterfall, 23m high, in the village of Antafofo.

Lunch at Jacky’s table at midday, then continue with a hike on the slopes and heights of an extinct volcano turned into farmland. A panoramic view of Madagascar’s 3rd lake, Itasy, is offered to you.

Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Ampefy – Andasibe

Start the day in the morning freshness with a canoe trip on the lake, then head to National Road 2. Lunch in Mandraka, then continue towards Moramanga, the stronghold of the mutineers during the rebellion for independence. Visit the gendarmerie museum, then continue towards Andasibe. Night visits to discover animals in a park managed by villagers.

Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Andasibe

Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to Analamazaotra park early in the morning. You will go in search of Indris, the biggest lemurs in the world. It’s a beautiful walk in a tropical forest with rich endemic plant species including medicinal plants, epiphytic plants, and orchids. You will also encounter many species of geckos, frogs, and with a bit of luck, other species of lemurs.

Lunch at Vokôna’s restaurant and visit of its private park to meet the lemurs.

Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Andasibe – Manambato

Depart for this lakeside site known for its white sandy beaches! Swimming and hiking for sunset are planned on site.

Installation and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 6: Manambato-Antananarivo

Return to Antananarivo and lunch in Moramanga. Continue to Antananarivo

Transfer for the return flight
